Placeholder Heathrow Airport scene
The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
